Brush and Fire Load Reduction
To be firesafe, you need to manage the landscape entirely, not just clear cut a donut around your house. Grazing livestock can reduce litter build up, increase moisture, and when a fire strikes, reduce its severity.
Grazing Services
Sheep and goats can eliminate noxious weeds, reduce underbrush, reduce fire loads, add soil nutrients, and manage vegetation.
Soil Health
Livestock can increase organic matter up to 5 times. Up to 90% of the nutrients ingested by grazing animals are returned to the land in manure and urine. Our sheep and goats have free choice minerals, meaning they can amend your soil with the nutrients its lacking. By grazing animals in small paddocks, we can evenly spread their manure.
How it works
Intake Call: We will do a 30 minute call to identify your goals for the property.
Site Visit: We will do a site visit to evaluate the site.
Proposal: We will create a proposal for services, including pricing and time window.
Contract: If proposal is accepted, we will send you a contract.
Set up: We will set up project site and truck in the animals.
Management: We will need to check on the animals a few times a day to monitor animal health, move animals, and build new fence.
Take down: Upon completion, we will remove the livestock, tools and fencing.
